I've photo edited a variety of special print sections for The New York Times. Here's a few of my favorites, with a selection of visuals:
75 years after world war II
Sunday September 6, 2020
This 24-page print section was the culmination of the New York Times Magazine's Beyond the World War II We Know series, which examined lesser-known stories from 1945 and the war's aftermath. The front cover shows sailors on the U.S.S. Missouri in September 1945; the back is a photograph by Hikaru Iwasaki showing Japanese-Americans leaving an incarceration camp that same month.

Suffrage at 100

A special 44-page section to mark the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, edited by Veronica Chambers. The writers included Martha S. Jones, Kate Lemay and Sarah Lewis.

The Mrs. Files
Sunday May 17, 2020
An exploration of names, marriage and identity for the Sunday Arts & Leisure cover story. Some of photos came from the Times's archive and also show the card catalog itself, which was the inspiration for this series. But one of my favorite shots is the Eve Arnold photograph of Marilyn Monroe.

We produced this special print section to commemorate Jackie Robinson's 100th birthday. The cover photograph was shot by Times staff photographer Ernie Sisto in 1952.
